Transport for London – Stopped where prohibited on red route or clearway

The appellant was caught on CCTV camera for being parked on a red route.

The appellant simply denied being parked on a red route.

The CCTV footage did not show any red route lines on the floor, or any signs.

The adjudicator acknowledged that from the Enforcement Authorities images it may seem to show traces of red road markings. However, they stated even if it is the case, they are faint and barely visible.

There also were no signs present.

The adjudicator was not satisfied that the red route was adequately marked and signed.

Therefore the contravention was not proved.
